The studies of pre-1967 Israel (excluding West Jerusalem) sponsored by the BSAJ was published as Petersen, A. (2001) A Gazeteer of Medieval and Ottoman Buildings in Palestine, Part I, Oxford University Press : British Academy and supplemented by Denys Pringle’s Secular Buildings in the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem: An archaeological gazetteer (Cambridge University Press, 1997). Part II, which concerns the West Bank and Gaza Strip, is in preparation. Recent selected studies appear in Levant 35 (2003) & 37 (2005).
